The Memory Art Project; a Culmination of Years of Research Into Human Behavior Live on Kickstarter
Fine arts student Mustapha Oulaourf began studying human behavior in 2014, and now, Oulaourf is infusing elements of human behavior and interesting usage of wire installations into a final exhibition that will take more than 9 months to prepare.
In order to raise capital to support the launch of the exhibition, Oulaourf has announced a Kickstarter campaign in which backers will receive their very own versions of the artwork.
According to Oulaourf, The Memory Project will entail large quantities of items like glass, wire, iron, canvas, dye, and more. In addition, the resin needed for the project will be quite costly. The Memory Project’s team will also be reworking the space in which the exhibition will be housed.
A blend of research and techniques is being used in The Memory Project, and designs of some of the pieces to be displayed in the exhibition are shown on the Kickstarter page. Pieces of iron will be used in a design and manufacturing process that The Memory Project’s team says has been their most complicated to date.
The Memory Project aims to raise nearly $3000 to be used towards the purchase of supplies and materials needed to bring Oulaourf’s creations to life. Backers will receive perks such as digital catalogs of the exhibition, small wire balls, handmade wire pyramids, big wire balls, complex pyramids, and more. Perks will be shipped in September 2019.
