99JAMZ ON-AIR PERSONALITY, SUPA CINDY, AND HER NON-PROFIT, ‘SUPA FRIENDS’ SPONSORS KIDS TO THE MOVIES
SUPA CINDY, long-time favorite on WEDR-FM 99JAMZ in Miami, blessed fifty (50) local kids in Miami over the weekend through her non-profit organization, ‘SUPA FRIENDS’.
Fifty kids and their parents were invited to a private screening of “Avengers: The Endgame” by SUPA FRIENDS. The screening was held on Sunday morning, May 5, 2019, at the CINEOPOLIS THEATER in Miami’s trendy Coconut Grove neighborhood. Once registering online, the selected children were treated to the movie in their very own theater, a movie treat pack; which included popcorn, a drink and a fruit snack. In addition, the kids and their parents were afforded the opportunity to walk the red carpet and take pictures before the SUPA FRIENDS and AVENGERS step and repeat banners with SUPA CINDY.
The kids were super excited, and the parents were most appreciative. Stated one parent of four (4), “….I don’t know if my kids would have been able to see the movie without this opportunity…” SUPA CINDY said, “…I’m just happy I was able to make these kids in the community happy, and have a reason to put a smile on their bright faces.”
SUPA FRIENDS was founded in 2003 by SUPA CINDY AKA Cindy Doucet, a Miami transplant from Astoria Queens, New York. The purpose of SUPA FRIENDS, INC., is to educate, motivate and offer career preparation and counseling on all aspects of life to the young people of South Florida.
For the second year, on July 4, 2019, SUPA FRIENDS will be partnering with the City of Miami Gardens for a family friendly, fun filled event called “MIAMI DAY”. The event will feature performances, games, rides and fireworks. Currently, in the works, is a SUPA FRIENDS SUPA HERO SUMMER ACADEMY.
