ApiHappi - The Handloom Cotton Beanbag Company - Has A New Home In The USA

The beanbag maker ApiHappi announced that their first overseas distribution point has been set up in Baltimore, MD in the USA. ApiHappi co-owners say that these beanbags that became hugely popular in their current homebase in the South Asian island Sri Lanka, will be a welcome novelty to US-based customers as well. ApiHappi’s tropically inspired bright, fun aesthetics and high quality handcrafted cover materials will give an interesting option to not only North American retailers looking to stock interesting furniture, but even interior designers, business owners, and homeowners.

“ApiHappi is for anyone looking to add comfort and joyful moods to their workspaces and homes. Our beanbags support a relaxed-upright position making them great online meeting chairs, reading chairs, living room furniture, and bedroom furniture. They really are the ultimate comfy chair,” says ApiHappi co-founder Etosha, whose close ties with Baltimore led ApiHappi to select the city as their US distribution center.

This is not the first time that ApiHappi has been internationally retailed. In fact, ApiHappi beanbag chairs have been sold in stores in the UK, Australia, Switzerland, and Thailand as well as the USA. However, this distribution point in Baltimore is the first dedicated ApiHappi operation in North America, creating room for interesting opportunities when it comes to forming retail partnerships and product collaborations.

ApiHappi sources a majority of its materials from Sri Lanka’s traditional handloom artisans through cooperatives and small businesses. It is a company rooted in fair trade principles and is constantly working towards making their products more sustainable. ApiHappi believes in people, craftsmanship, and creating caring networks that benefit animals and nature. With their new US-based distribution point, ApiHappi is hoping to partner with more brands and people in the US who have similar aesthetics and values.
